Denver, CO – This holiday season, Denver will introduce a new high-tech twist to its festive celebrations.  From November 22nd to December 31st, the city will host “Mile High Holidays Drone Shows,” a series of nightly aerial displays featuring hundreds of illuminated drones.

These free 15-minute shows, choreographed to holiday music, will take place at 7 p.m. each night.  The drones, launched from a location west of downtown Denver, will paint the night sky with festive animations and patterns, some incorporating iconic Denver imagery.

The shows are a collaboration between VISIT DENVER and Brightflight Drone Shows, a Denver-based company.  Organizers are working with Metropolitan State University of Denver to utilize airspace above the Auraria Campus for the performances, ensuring visibility across much of downtown.

City officials are enthusiastic about bringing this innovative and captivating experience to Denver, highlighting the Mile High Holidays Drone Shows as a unique and modern way to celebrate the season and showcase the city’s vibrant spirit.

While the shows will be visible from various points throughout downtown, including rooftops and parks,  VISIT DENVER plans to release a list of recommended viewing locations with optimal sightlines.

In addition to the nightly shows, special drone performances are scheduled before major sporting events, including:

• Denver Broncos Monday Night Football: December 2nd at 5:20 p.m.
• Denver Nuggets Christmas Day game: December 25th at 7 p.m.
• Colorado Avalanche New Year’s Eve game: December 31st at 5:30 p.m.

These sports-themed shows will add another layer of excitement for fans and further demonstrate the versatility of drone technology.

With this initiative, Denver joins a growing number of cities utilizing drone shows as a safe and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fireworks. The Mile High Holidays Drone Shows promise to be a memorable addition to Denver’s holiday festivities, captivating audiences with their artistry and technological innovation.
