Gas prices in the Rocky Mountain region have seen a noticeable increase over the past week, reaching an average of $3.02 per gallon. This marks a 14-cent rise since last month.
The Rocky Mountain region, which includes states like Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming, has experienced fluctuating gas prices over the past year. Despite the recent increase, prices in the region remain about 3.5% lower than the national average of $3.13 per gallon.
Analysts attribute the rise in gas prices to a combination of factors, including seasonal trends and localized refinery issues. While some states have seen price increases, others have experienced minor fluctuations. The U.S. Energy Information Administration continues to monitor these trends closely to provide accurate and up-to-date information to consumers.
