Urgent: Evacuation Order Issued for Sanborn Fire in El Paso County


El Paso County, CO—The Sanborn Fire continues to spread rapidly in the southeastern region of El Paso County. This vegetation fire, currently active and covering approximately 30 acres, has prompted a Level 3 “Go” evacuation order for the area.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, via Peak Alerts, has issued an evacuation order for residents along the following boundaries:
Highway 94 (north)
Ellicott Highway (west)
Henderson Road (south)
Calhan Highway (east)

All residents in these areas must evacuate immediately for their safety. Maps of the evacuation zone are available through official resources.

Incident Command confirms that the fire is advancing rapidly to the northwest and poses a significant threat to nearby homes. Emergency crews remain on-site, working diligently to manage the situation, though there are no containment updates as of now.
