Federal Immigration Arrests in Colorado Springs: Over 100 Detained in Nightclub Raid

Early Sunday morning, federal authorities conducted a significant operation at an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs, resulting in the detention of over 100 individuals suspected of being in the United States unlawfully. The raid, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Rocky Mountain Field Division, involved more than 300 law enforcement officers from various federal and local agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the FBI, and Homeland Security Investigations.

The nightclub, located near Airport Road and South Academy Boulevard, had been under investigation for several months due to alleged activities such as drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes. During the raid, law enforcement seized firearms and drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and pink cocaine. Video footage released by the DEA showed agents announcing their presence and instructing patrons to exit with their hands raised.

Among those detained were active-duty military personnel, some of whom were working as armed security at the nightclub. The Army’s Criminal Investigation Division is collaborating with the DEA to address the involvement of service members in the incident. Additionally, two individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants.

The operation reflects ongoing efforts by the Trump administration to enforce immigration laws and address illegal activities within the United States. ICE has taken the detained individuals into custody, and they are awaiting deportation proceedings. The identities and nationalities of those detained have not been disclosed.

This raid highlights the complexities of immigration enforcement and the challenges of addressing illegal activities in underground establishments. As investigations continue, authorities aim to ensure community safety while navigating legal and ethical considerations.
