Buffaloes Surge Past Cowboys in Electrifying Family Weekend Win

Under the bright lights of Folsom Field and the buzz of Family Weekend festivities, the Colorado Buffaloes delivered a commanding 37–20 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday night, thrilling a sold-out crowd and evening their season record at 2–2.

The Buffs came alive in the second quarter, erupting for 21 unanswered points. Quarterback K.J. Salter led the charge with precision passing, connecting on a 29-yard touchdown to receiver O. Miller and a 68-yard bomb to S. Brown. Running back S. Price capped the quarter with a bruising 1-yard touchdown run, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

Wyoming clawed back in the second half, narrowing the gap to 28–20 early in the fourth quarter. But Colorado’s defense responded with a game-changing safety, sacking Cowboys QB K. Anderson in the end zone. Salter sealed the win minutes later with a dazzling 35-yard scramble for a touchdown, showcasing his dual-threat prowess.

The Buffs’ balanced attack and opportunistic defense proved too much for the Cowboys, who now share a 2–2 record with Colorado. The win was especially sweet for fans celebrating Family Weekend, with pregame festivities like the Buff Walk and Pearl Street Stampede adding to the electric atmosphere.

Next up, the Buffaloes look to build momentum as they head into Week 5 of the NCAA season. But for now, Boulder celebrates a night of unity, pride, and a team that’s finding its rhythm.
