Bannack State Park will host its annual Bannack Days event on July 15-16, 2023. The event will feature a variety of activities and events celebrating Montana’s pioneer history, including:

Historic displays: Visitors can learn about the history of Bannack and Montana through a variety of displays, including exhibits on mining, ranching, and Native American culture.

Re-enactments: Actors will portray historical figures from Bannack’s past, such as the miners who discovered gold in 1862 and the lawmen who kept the town safe.

Artisan demonstrations: Visitors can watch skilled artisans demonstrate their crafts, such as gold panning, quilting, and blacksmithing.

Music and entertainment: There will be live music and other entertainment throughout the weekend, including a performance by the Bannack Vigilantes.

Family-friendly activities: There will be plenty of activities for children, such as a petting zoo, a gold panning sluice, and a scavenger hunt.

Admission to Bannack Days is $5 for individuals ages 6 and older, or $20 per family. Children ages 5 and younger are admitted free. Parking is limited, so visitors are encouraged to carpool or take the free shuttle from the Dillon fairgrounds.

In addition to the activities listed above, Bannack Days will also feature a number of other events, including:

• A pancake breakfast on Saturday morning
• A barbecue lunch on Sunday afternoon
• A chili cook-off on Saturday evening
• A dance on Saturday night

Bannack Days is a great opportunity to learn about Montana’s pioneer history and to experience the unique atmosphere of this historic ghost town. Visitors of all ages are sure to enjoy the variety of activities and events that will be taking place.
